Deciding who is best for collaborating on your bridal look, in a way that suits you and your individuality, can be hard!
So, we want to help you take the guess work out of it! As a close team of talented hair & makeup artist of 12 years, we have built up strong relationships between us and can recommend the right one for you!
We will get to know your wedding plans and then recommend stylists based on their style and expertise to align with your bridal preferences.

Ambers
The
Preview
Amber came in with an idea of the Hollywood waves and soft glam makeup for her bridal vision. Amber was fairly certain this is the look she wanted.
Amber had fine hair that wouldn't hold a curl, so I added 3 quad weft hair extensions to give it volume and a structure, to hold the waves in place, all day. As you can see, Amber was super happy with the result, she looked AMAZING!
We also went for a rose/golden look for her makeup and added some natural strip lashes with a soft liner for more glam.
The
Big Day
In between Ambers preview and the big day, she did some modelling for me, where I created a ponytail and a low bun. Amber was like..." ooooooo I actually really like the up do on me!!!"........ uh oh!
So, Amber had a think about it..... then the night before the wedding i had a text from Amber
"Please can I go for an updo instead!?"
This made me chuckle, but I didn't panic, I had already packed padding and grips etc just incase she changed her mind, so this wasn't an issue!
Amber had her wedding at 'Bake Barn', so it was a very relaxed, outdoor wedding in the summer. Instead of waves, Amber went for a more textured, low bun and personally I think she made the best choice for her vibe.......... and the heat1!!

100% highly recommend! Claire made me feel like a million bucks on my wedding day, whilst Ellis looked after all things hair for my mother, mother in law and my best friend - their hair looked amazing.
I was put at ease right from the beginning of meeting Claire for my first trial, and I went back again to try other styles as I liked them all and couldn’t decide. The studio was really cute and easy to get to for my trials.
Initially I was only going to book hair as I wanted to do my own make up, but I’m SO glad I left it with Claire. My hair and make up lasted all day and when I woke up in the morning, I still looked pretty put together. Ladies, if you’re undecided about getting someone else to do your hair and make up just go for it (and choose Totally You). It was a huge weight off my shoulders and I could relax on the morning of my wedding knowing I’d be looked after.
Thank you for looking after me on my wedding day - I felt beautiful!

How long before the wedding would I have my preview?We like to get your preview in around 3/5 months before your big day. If its longer then that, too much can change but if its too close we may not have time to get your treatments, accessories and extensions sorted before hand.

Can I try more then 1 style at the preview??Yes! We usually offer a couple of options for you if you cant decide. If you're booking with me (Claire) I only do 1 preview a day so I will be in no rush to finish your preview until you are happy with the result.

How long is the preview and where is it?Your preview will last around 3 hours for hair & makeup. It'll be around 90 mins for hair/makeup only. It will take place at our studio in Basingstoke. There are a couple of stylists that prefer to do them in their home studios as they live further out. So make sure you discuss this with Ellis at booking if its something you are concerned about.

Do my bridesmaids get a preview?Your bridesmaids, mums etc don't need a preview, but we do offer this if they would prefer to have one. This can be quoted with Ellis. Prices are also on our website under the 'Prices' tab.

What is a preview??A preview is a practice session with your stylist before the wedding, so we can collaborate with you on a look you will be happy with for the big day. It gives you a chance to choose and finalise the look and it gives us the chance to get to know you, your style and your individual needs.

What if I need hair extensions?We have some hair extensions at the studio that we can apply during your hair preview. If you prefer the look with the added hair we can then order some in for you for your big day. They are at an extra cost but they are yours to enjoy after the wedding. You can colour them, wash them etc just like normal hair. We use great quality, popular clip in extensions for ease of use and maintenance.

How far in advance should I book my hair & makeup artist??We would prefer you to contact us as soon as you have booked your venue! We get booked up on average 18 months in advance, plus we have to try and arrange our diaries a year ahead so we can arrange holidays, bridal previews etc.

How do I book?Simply complete the contact form and Ellis will get back to you with availability and a quote within 48 hours. You can also request a call back if you wish to discuss some concerns over the phone.

Do I have to pay a deposit to secure my wedding with you?Yes, we just require a deposit of £80 to secure your date. This is deducted from your final invoice.

Do you stay to put my veil in?Your bridal hair & makeup artist will stay until your ready to walk out the door, as part of our luxury service. If you have a veil, your hair stylist will place it for you.

How far do you travel?We travel all over the UK and even abroad for destination weddings. There will just be travel fees added to your booking, plus hotel etc if necessary. This can all be discussed at booking.

Will the hair & makeup last all day?We will always do our best to work with your hair & skin type to make sure the look will have longevity. We will advise you on things you can also do to help this. There will be some things that can effect the style, like the weather and sweat etc. But we can discuss all this at the preview so we can work together on preventing issues throughout the day.
